Sources say that Henry Cavill, who used to play Superman, may soon join Sony Pictures in the Spider-Man franchise as Spider-UK, a character version of a person who is a mix of Spider-Man and Captain Britain.
In addition to Tom Holland, who plays the primary model Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Henry Cavill, Nicolas Cage, and many other actors will play different versions of the character in upcoming movies. It would be interesting to see how the British actor would play the part. Even more so after being kicked out of DC’s movie franchise.

Henry Cavill recently left the role of Superman at DC because James Gunn is writing and expected to direct the Superman: Legacy movie, which is confirmed to have a different version of the Man of Steel, which is younger and played by another actor. Cavill also left The Witcher, so he is available for more projects.
Here’s what the sources said about the report and other rumours that suggest Henry Cavill could play Captain Britain himself in the Marvel Cinematic Universe:
There have been rumours lately that Henry Cavill could play Captain Britain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there’s no reason why he couldn’t also play Spider-UK for Sony Pictures. The character first appeared in the 2014 Spider-Verse storyline, which featured a lot of different versions of Marvel’s most famous web-slinger, some of which had already been seen in other media.
It looks like a real possibility. After all, both Marvel and Sony are excited about the Multiverse idea and are putting out many different versions of their characters.
