Elon Musk may already be leaving his job as CEO of Twitter. The CEO recently put up a poll on Twitter asking if he should step down and saying that he would follow the results.
The poll is in the lead with positive votes, and there are only 5 hours left before it ends. There have already been more than 12 million votes.
Since he has always done what he said he would do with his polls, it is safe to say that Musk may soon stop being CEO of Twitter.
There were rumors that Musk only planned to be CEO of Twitter for a short time. About a month ago, he said he would hire someone to run the business.
Musk said that the company had been “hurtling toward bankruptcy” since May and that “the problem is not finding a CEO, but finding one who can keep Twitter going.”
Musk might be willing to sell his expensive toy to someone else for a while, even though he is getting criticized for his journalist not responding to his public pleas.
Even though Musk didn’t mention it in his tweets, the fact that Tesla’s stock has dropped to $150 per share is a big deal. Forbes’s list of the richest people in the world now has Musk at number 2.
Reuters said that Musk fanboy KoGuan Leo, Tesla’s third-largest individual investor, tweeted earlier this week that Elon had “abandoned” the company and that Tesla needed a new CEO.
Musk’s actions have mostly been in line with the results of the polls he posts on Twitter, but that could change. He also said, “No major content decision or account reinstatement will be made without a content moderator council.” But he later said that this wasn’t true anymore because activist groups “broke the agreement.”
